Emerald eBook series collections to launch in the Emerald City

Emerald Group Publishing Limited will present its eBook series collections for the first time at Information Online to be held at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Sydney, Australia, January 20-22 2009.

Known as "the Emerald City", Sydney is the perfect location for Emerald to launch its eBook series collections providing users with more than 5,000 chapters from over 100 titles.

The January launch marks the first anniversary of the acquisition of books and book series that Emerald undertook from Elsevier a year ago.

Emerald will also be celebrating publishing 110 books in 2008, exceeding its publication target for the year, and unveiling its new distinctive branding at the event.

Customers will be able to access their content at: ww2.emeraldinsight.com/ebookseries.

Access to eBook content via Elsevier’s Science Direct platform will continue until March 2009. After this time the Emerald platform will be the only access point to the collections.

The business, management and economics collection includes 65 series titles. Featuring titles from the highly regarded JAI imprint, the collection offers access to a selection of 380 titles covering subjects such as strategy, accounting and finance, organizational studies and economics.

The social sciences collection complements and extends the current Emerald portfolio, with titles in sociology, education and psychology. This will add over 150 volumes across 37 series titles.

Both collections offer international content from a worldwide author base, with new content to be added each year.

Delegates are invited to visit booth # 17 for an opportunity to meet Andrea Gilbey, Emerald’s Business Manager for Australasia, who will be on hand to discuss Emerald's range of products and services.

Andrea commented, “Information Online is always a great event for Emerald and the fact we have a lot to celebrate this year will make it even better. I’m looking forward to meeting customers old and new to introduce them to the improved functionality on the website”. Andrea added “The eBook series collections will be invaluable for researchers, who will be able to search across book and journal content for the first time”.

To celebrate the launch of the eBook series collections, delegates are invited to the Emerald booth for a champagne and cake reception on Tuesday January 20 between 6 and 8 pm.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to enter a prize draw for a chance to win an eBook reader and to collect free gifts from the booth.

On Wednesday January 21, a presentation will take place in the assigned presentation rooms between 12 and 12.15 pm to introduce delegates to the eBook series collections.

The books and books series are available from the Emerald Bookstore online at: http://books.emeraldinsight.com.
