New Book Series

Emerald is proud to announce the addition of a new book series, Dialogues in Critical Management Studies to its management research portfolio. Critical Management Studies (CMS) is an evolving collection of radical challenges to mainstream perspectives in Business & Management research and education. Countering the normal focus on techniques for managerial success, CMS develops many alternative approaches to understanding business, management, work, organizations and their social and political context. Using complementary disciplines such as sociology, political economy, history, anthropology and political studies, CMS is also characterized by a commitment to constructive critical dialogue. CMS is now well-established with biennial conferences alternating between Europe and North America, but there are few clearly-badged channels for CMS writing. This series will help rectify this, with regular edited volumes focused around a key emergent issue. The first volume is focused on the Third Sector, and is due for publication in October 2011. All volumes will be available in both print and online formats. See the series homepage for more information.
