China is exposed to a variety of unique situations, including the far-reaching influence of Chinese tradition over its modern reality, the transition from a government-plan-oriented economy to a market economy and the development of large state-owned enterprises. Unprecendented economic growth has resulted in increasing numbers of foreign corporations establishing operations within this context. The management of such multinational corporations merits close analysis and the development of new theoretical frameworks and practices.

Editorial Objectives

With Chinese business as the focus, the Nankai Business Review International aims to realize the following objectives:
