
Emerald and the Association of African Business Schools (AABS) are pleased to announce the winners of the 2013 Emerald/AABS Case Study Competition. Cash prizes will be awarded to the three most outstanding submissions; with US$1,500 being awarded to the winner, and US$1,000 and US$500 being awarded to the first and second runners-up respectively.

Each application was judged, by a panel of experts, on the criteria below:
Concept and content - the topic relevance and its ability to create a learning experience.
Teaching note – the analytical substance and usefulness of the teaching note.
Form - the style of writing, quality of presentation and clarity of data.
• Deadline for phase 1 submissions (mentoring stage) was 31 December 2012
• Phase 2 submissions accepted from 1 January 2013
• Deadline for phase 2 submissions was 20 March 2013
• The winners were announced at the 2013 AABS Annual meeting.
