2011 Emerald/CLADEA Latin American Management Research Fund Award
Emerald and Consejo Latinoamericano de Escuela de Administraciónare (CLADEA) are delighted to announce the winner of the 2011 Emerald/CLADEA Latin American Management Research Fund Award.
All submissions have been reviewed and the results are now in. Although many high-quality submissions were received, ultimately the judging panel was able to choose an outright winner.

The researchers commented: "We extremely feel privileged to receive the Highly Commended Award winner of 2011 Emerald/CLADEA Latin American Management Research Fund Award for our project. On behalf of CENTRUM Catolica, Graduate School of Business, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the esteemed judging panel and congratulate Emerald for their high involvement in such a scholarly academic activities, which inspires us to focus on rigorous research that ultimately aims to benefit society and different sectors of the economy. The issue of productivity growth in agriculture has captured the interest of economists for a long time as it has been the base of successful industrialization in many developed economies. It is critical for the culture and communities of rural population and plays a vital role for the goals of sustainable development and reducing poverty and inequality in LAC countries."

Applications were to address the dissemination of knowledge for the social good with a specific orientation toward benefit for China.
A great number of high-quality submissions were received, making the decision of the judging panel an extremely difficult one. However, in the end one winner and three highly commended awards were chosen

2011 Emerald/IACMR Chinese Management Research Fund Award
Emerald and the IACMR - International Association for Chinese Management Research - are delighted to offer a research grant for a Chinese project in the field of management research. The award will contribute £2,000 (approximately US$3,000 equivalent) to fund the winning research project, as well as prizes of £500 for two runners-up.
The IACMR are pleased to offer the winner(s) a complimentary membership, which will include a subscription to Management and Organization Review, for a limited time of 12 months. Similarly, Emerald will also offer a subscription to Chinese Management Studies, on the same terms.

"It’s a great honor that our research has been chosen as a Highly Commended Award winner of the 2011 Emerald/IACMR Chinese Management Research Fund Award. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Emerald Group Publishing and IACMR for building the platform promoting Chinese management research. Special thanks go to the esteemed judging panel, who not only favor our work, but also convey encouragement to us. With it, we will invest much more efforts into the area of HRM practice in professional service firms (PSFs). The objective of our research is to understand how and why HRM improves firm performance in PSFs using a cross-cultural and multilevel approach. Without strong international research collaborations, the whole idea would be impossible. Fortunately, we have prestigious scholars from five major universities based in China, Ireland, UK and US to build up a global research team, in which Dr. Na Fu has made significant contribution. We are also grateful to the friendly partnership between Northeastern University (China) and Dublin City University (Ireland) which helps to widen and deepen our international network. As one of the most speedy development countries, China is facing great challenges and opportunities derived from the knowledge and service economy. We look forward to producing more successful and high-quality research outputs which contribute the development of a harmonious society in China."
