Abstract

English China Clays have acquired the whole of the share capital of Southern Clay Products Inc (SCP), an American corporation based in Gonzales near San Antonio in Texas. SCP produces, processes and markets bentonite, ball clays and talcs. In addition to these minerals SCP produces a range of gellant thickeners marketed under the name of Claytones.
