Abstract

Durham Chemicals' new £4m anhydrous aluminium chloride plant at Birtley is now in regular production. Durham is the only UK producer of this important catalyst, used as a raw material in the pigments, dyestuffs, plastics, pharmaceutical, petrochemical and fine chemicals industries.
