The Food and Drink Forum – Selling on the Internet: The Online Shop Revolution

The Forum are commissioning a new website, which will incorporate a "virtual shopping centre". It's hoped that shoppers will be able to buy a range of products from Forum and East Midlands Fine Foods members during one online shopping trip – with members then individually sending out the products.

Now they are looking for partners to come forward and be among the first to join up. "This could be a great new route to market for food and drink firms in the region," explains The Forum's Innovation and Technology Manager Briony Cross, "and it gives firms that might be reluctant to go it alone the chance to be part of an e-community without going to great expense and without the need to have extensive technical knowledge."

The virtual shopping centre has been developed in response to demand from firms who wish to sell online, and is designed to be user-friendly for companies.
