NeoResins launches new waterborne product

Keywords NeoResins, Emulsions

NeoResins announces that it has introduced a new waterborne emulsion on the market.

NeoCryl XK-98 is described as a pure acrylic emulsion with a unique self-cross linking feature designed for fast drying and fast blocking resistant coatings for exterior wood and industrial joinery products. It is said to be suitable for transparent as well as for opaque systems with excellent elasticity, good blocking and early water resistance even at high coating thickness. The thickener response of NeoCryl XK-98 is claimed to be such that non-sagging can be obtained even at a wet coating of 400-500pm.

Besides the traditional application techniques, NeoCryl XK-98 formulations can reportedly also be applied by so called "Vakumat" coaters.

Being an ultra fine particle size emulsion, the product is said to show an almost solvent-based-like "in-can clarity" which is an attractive feature for clear lacquers in DIY applications. Due to the composition of NeoCryl XK-98, the product reportedly shows no yellowing and good adhesion on different substrates like PVC-plastic, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, pre-painted and solvent based wood primers making it very suitable as a universal primer paint.

Extensive documentation and product information is available on request. NeoResins (formerly Zeneca Resins) develops, markets and manufactures water-based and other environmentally friendly products using a wide range of technologies, encompassing acrylics, urethanes, urethane-acrylics, vinyl acrylics and other copolymers for the coatings, adhesives and Graphic Arts industries. NeoResins' existing brand names NeoCryl and NeoRez.
