Muller specification raised

Keywords: Disperse systems, Paints, Coatings

The specification of the Automatic Muller Mk V from UK based Weller Patents Development has been raised by the introduction of a new, more powerful, half horsepower motor.

This laboratory dispersion equipment can now reportedly handle the most viscous of pigment/varnish mixes to provide rapid and repeatable dispersion of small quantities of paints, inks, coatings and cosmetics.

According to Weller, quality control testing of pigment colour and tint strength can be undertaken quickly and reliably. The company also states that the Automatic Muller can be used to undertake all of the standard test procedures including ASTM D 387; ASTM D 332; ASTM D 3265; ISO 787:1,13,16 & 24; BS 3483:Al; DIN 53204; and DIN 53234.

The earlier models of Weller Patents' Automatic Muller are used by manufacturers and raw material suppliers throughout the world.
