Keywords: Coatings, Awards

The American Chemical Society's Division of Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering issued an invitation for nominations for the division's 2004 Roy W. Tess Award in coatings. The award, to be presented at the 2004 Meeting of the American Chemical Society in Philadelphia, recognizes "outstanding individual achievements and noteworthy contributions to coatings science, technology and engineering".

Nominations are invited from industry, academia and government, and should be submitted to David R. Bauer, Tess Award Chairman, Ford Motor Co., Research Laboratory-MD3182, PO Box 2053, Dearborn, MI 48121. After the submission of nominations, the award chairman will provide a documentation form requesting information on the nominee relevant to patents, publications and other qualifications. The deadline for completed nomination forms is 1 September, although nominations received after that date will be considered for the 2005 award.
