Münster. BASF Coatings' Automotive Refinish/Commercial Transport Coatings Solutions strategic business unit is again supplying a Formula One team with Glasurit brand paints in the 2006 season. A contract has been agreed with the Honda Racing F1 Team until March 2007. This is an agreement with a track record as the team has been supplied with Glasurit brand paints since 2003.

The RA106 race car embodies extreme speed, technical precision, high tech and passion. This is something that BASF Coatings with its Glasurit brand paints shares with Formula One. The team's two race drivers, Rubens Barrichello (Brazilian, World Championship runner-up 2002 and 2004) and Jenson Button (British, World Championship 3rd 2004) with their race cars decked out in white, red, olive and black, also embody the same qualities.
