Abstract
Shows how the technology developed for military Head Up Displays is now adopted for civil aircraft. Marconi Electronics with the HUD 2020 has used the ability to present information to the pilot within the forward field of view to enhance the civil pilot’s awareness in high workload situations. This enables precise control of speed and attitude to be obtained down to touchdown.
