Abstract

The location of and philosophy behind the Central Children’s Library of St Petersburg are briefly described. The role of the library is discussed and the range of services for disabled children examined. Its aim to introduce all children, including those physically disabled, to the information culture is described and its experimental programme "Information, Culture, Education" is indicated.
