Abstract

Information technology is becoming a part of the subject matter of a number of management disciplines, as functional applications of IT continue to grow. However, IT is also emerging as a discipline in its own right. It is changing the nature of work and organisations and challenging our understanding of the learning process. The future shape of arrangements for delivering management education and development will increasingly be defined by the nature of technology. Certain colleges may face a “dilemma of scale” through failure to reach the threshold of sufficient resources to maintain technological viability and compatibility.
