Abstract

Reports a 30 per cent increase per annum since 1985 of computers in schools. Looks at the challenge posed by the use of new technologies in education and training, the implications of the National Curriculum, NVQs and local management of schools. Argues the need for schools and colleges to adopt an increasingly strategic approach and for ongoing staff development.
