Investment Decisions for Robotics Development
Abstract
Discusses the factors involved in the decision‐making process about investment in robotics. Examines levels of automation in organizations, financial analysis tools such as ROI and NPV, competitive benefits of robotics, and non‐financial aspects of automation. Concludes that the decision will depend on the organization′s strategic goals, since financial analysis provides incomplete consideration of all factors.
