Abstract

Strategic planning has been out of favour over the last decade. However, there is a new interest in strategic planning ‐ as a means of monitoring a rapidly changing environment and taking effective decisions and action based upon that monitoring. This is especially true in the retail industry. Explains the fundamental concepts of strategic planning and the key ingedients of successful planning.
