Considers the consequence of hiring mistakes. Looks briefly at job and task analysis followed by recruitment and screening. Offers some tips for pre‐testing new employees before covering the interview and reference checks. Concludes that good planning and execution lead to a better quality intake and prevent future expense. Advocates the use of a second opinion.
