Abstract

Lancaster University Library developed an in‐house software package, LANSLIDE, for its slide collection in 1987. Examines the system, which includes slide cataloguing, mini‐label production, keyword searching, and classmark searching. A recent development has been the introduction of an issue module. The system has resulted in savings in staff time, and much improved access to the slide collection.
