Book reviews and faculty book selection
Abstract
Compares the results of a faculty survey regarding importance of book reviews to the selection process to the actual percentage of reviewed titles requested. The survey found that faculty recognize the importance of book reviews to the selection process, but sometimes must recommend unreviewed titles owing to uneven coverage of Choice, the major review journal used for selection.
