Abstract

Presents thoughts on the decision to implement a total quality management programme. This is a company which has undergone extraordinary growth over recent years and finds itself at the crucial point of transition from the small entrepreneurial firm to the larger corporate environment. Discusses how the growth of the business forced the painful process of selling the entrepreneurial Chairman and CEO on the concept. Provides a president′s perspective on the challenges of taking a high‐growth, entrepreneurial company up to the next level.
