Abstract

Planning technology development and making use of available technologies are an integral part of a successful strategic business plan. Businesses have neglected their role in training and updating their potential managers in the area of technology management. Universities, in general, have not yet integrated technology awareness and forecasting with management training. Deals with the necessity of exposing future managers to the four areas of technology planning and forecasting, technology project management, the impact of technologies on the social system, as well as the impact of technologies on different world economies.
