Abstract

Recent surveys of the accounting software market show an increasing focus on new technologies that can adapt to changing business requirements and generate meaningful data for decision making. Looks at current and future requirements for business management software in the SME (small and medium‐sized enterprises) sector. Profiles IBM’s Concorde XAL business management software solution, and demonstrates the benefits of a flexible technology approach enjoyed by Luxo UK, part of the Scandinavian lighting group.
