Abstract

Recent developments in communications technology, such as fibre optics and satellites, have led to the development of facilities like electronic mail, discussion lists and anonymous file transfer protocol (FTP). Explains the nature and use of these facilities, and examines their potential application within the field of property management. Aims to: inform property managers of the latest developments in communications technology; encourage the use of services now available on wide area networks (WANs); and stimulate discussion about the possibility of establishing a discussion list on Internet devoted to property management.
