Abstract

Outlines information access through the right mixture of technologies namely, online and CD‐ROM. While mentioning the electronic databases, electronic information path and generations of online services, presents the salient features of CD‐ROMs, their cost effectiveness, database services in various subjects and select databases. Discusses the establishment of CD workstations, their networking publishing and future of optical technology.
