Abstract

Compares past, present and possible future effects and merits/demerits of using cannabis, and whether it leads to something even “harder” – like heroin. Shows that past and present governments in the UK and USA have had various restrictions and derestrictions running at differing times. Concludes that there would need to be a shift of both public and political opinion for cannabis to be decriminalized here.
