Abstract

‘NHS bodies who run care homes or domiciliary agencies must immediately seek to register their services with CSCI’. This was the first of a number of national recommendations in a report by the Healthcare Commission last year following an investigation into services for people with learning disabilities in Cornwall. This article will consider the implications of this recommendation in the context of the requirements of the Care Standards Act.
