Rent review – Recent developments
Abstract
Examines the problems of rent review for all parties involved with reference to recent case law. Summarizes that recent decisions have upheld the principle that the tenant pays for what he actually receives, subject to clear words to the contrary in the rent review provision, although this certainty has been eroded in cases involving problems of construction, which have been decided in a way apparently contrary to the above principle.
