Research Assistant: A HyperCard Approach to Library Instruction

Abstract

Reviews ′Research Assistant′ software, a computer‐assisted instruction programme written by a librarian in order to help students with their research. The programme is written for the Mac using HyperCard stacks and its content covers the entire process of writing a research paper. It aims to equip students with the necessary skills to use the library resources properly and more efficiently. Points out the advantages and disadvantages of using such a progrmme.
