Abstract

Purpose

This paper aims to review the latest management developments across the globe and pinpoint practical implications from cutting-edge research and case studies.

Design/methodology/approach

Findings

Significant differences were observed in the effectiveness of managers using task, relations and change capabilities. At top management, change-oriented capabilities become two to three times more important than at the lowest level. Task-oriented capabilities become significantly less important at the top level.
