Norbert Dentressangle won the development-of-people trophy at the latest Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport awards.

The company adopts a cradle-to-grave approach to training and development. This enables employees at all levels of the business to achieve their potential, in line with the company’s You Grow, We Grow philosophy and its commitment to filling 60 percent of vacancies through internal promotion. Around 3,100 colleagues undertook more than 90,000 hours of training last year.

Mark Simmons, HR director, said: “We are fortunate to work in an organization that genuinely places people at the heart of its business and which has continued to invest in training and development throughout the recession. We also have an extremely hard-working and passionate team who work tirelessly to deliver continuous innovation and improvement.”

“Following our success in the Motor Transport awards and the HR Distinction awards, this latest award represents our hat-trick. We are delighted that our achievements have been recognized in yet another extremely prestigious arena.”
