Professor Emeritus Lee J. Yao, PhD, at Loyola University of New Orleans, USA, had variously been described as a gifted educator and innovative researcher. Lee never wasted time and effort. He was a hard worker. His career was very important to him, and he enjoyed his job. Lee had been a brilliant, ambitious and highly accomplished researcher – one of the very best in his area. Throughout his life, he permeated enthusiasm and positive energy, and gave a brave fight with remarkable courage and dignity till the very end. Lee was a dedicated person to his family and friends. I appreciated his immense love for our family.

On October 14, 2012, Lee Yao left us after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

We are all proud of him. May God rest his soul in peace.
