Power-BUS AS-i slave relay for the automation industry

Lumberg has launched the Power-BUS - an AS-i slave relay for the automation industry (Plate 3). The Power-BUS is designed for use in applications where high power needs to be switched. The normal rating of Power-BUS is 6A 230VAC, and a 12A current capability is also offered. Two extra digital inputs are provided, making it easier to use the Power-BUS for decentralised applications. Power-BUS is sealed to a protection rating of IP67, making it ideally suited to the hostile, potentially damp environments often found in industry and commerce.

Other features include a built-in status display, the option of AC/DC output and an integrated watchdog function.

The displays are protected against short-circuits. The relays are replaceable for cost effectiveness and ease of maintenance.

A family of components is also offered, making it simple to wire up complete systems. These components include: T-junction power supplies; wirable connectors; power cables (temperature and abrasion resistant); and protection caps for the connectors.
