Corus Tubes, producers of welded steel tubes, recently announced the introduction of a new price list for its HFI (high frequency induction) welded carbon steel pipe range (API 5L Grade B, BS 3601, A106).

HFI welded tube is widely used in the HVAC (heating, ventilating and air conditioning) sector as well as for process industry, petrochemical, refinery, power generation and general industrial use.

HFI welded pipe is supplied via stockists in sizes from 1&#189in. to 20in. from Corus' mills at both Corby and Hartlepool. "In recent years we have not produced an end-user price list, but for reasons of clarity and price stability we have decided to introduce a new HFI price list", explains Stuart Welch, Corus Tubes' sales manager for HFI Tube.

"The new list represents an increase of 7-8 per cent across the range which reflects international upward pressure in steel coil prices. It also follows the recent price rises for seamless steel tube in this size range. However, customers can be confident Corus' prices will be set to be competitive with the best in Europe and with the new list they can more easily see the effect of their choices."

Corus Tubes state that its HFI welded tube is produced to the highest standard at state of the art pipe mills and, in its opinion, remains unsurpassed for quality and reliability in all applications for welded steel pressure pipe.
