"Pass-through" option now available on all USF Vacu-Blast "Ventus" machines

Keywords: Blasting, Surface preparation

The USF Vacu-Blast "Ventus 11150P" in an abrasive blasting cabinet machine, equipped with access doors on both sides of the blast enclosure to facilitate the "pass-through" processing of parts.

The pass-through feature – now available as a standard option on all Vacu-Blast Ventus machines-enables swing-in or roll-in components turntables to operate from either side of the machine and allows the installation of in-feed and out-feed conveyors for in-line operation. Pass-through processing can substantially streamline production and reduce the manual handling of parts, particularly important when heavy fabrications or assemblies are being blasted.

The Ventus 11150P machine pictured, which has a 1,500mm x 1,340mm x 1,200mm high blast enclosure, is one of a range of Ventus machines from USF Vacu-Blast, which will reportedly cover the widest variety of surface preparation, finishing and treatment tasks and can use all types of blast media (Plate 3).

USF Vacu-Blast reports that all its Ventus machines feature a high efficiency, in-cycle media recovery and separation system, to ensure reliable, consistent surface results. They also report that the system automatically separates out and recycles reusable blast media back to the blast nozzle via the machine's power-pack. The latter includes a COSHH-compliant reverse-jet dust collector with quick-release filter cartridges to collect dust and debris.
