US military specification updated

As part of its ongoing programme to improve products and customer service, BIP Limited informs us that it has recently achieved the updated US Military Specification P-85891A for its range of plastic blasting media.

It is believed to be the only plastic media manufacturer outside the USA and Canada to hold such approval and operations manager, Sean Williams, says: "The only way forward in today's highly competitive trading environment is through constantly improving levels of quality and service excellence and the achievement of this approval is a further example of our progress. It will certainly enable us to expand our media sales in the international aerospace, automotive and military markets."

As a member of the BIP Group, BIP Plastic Media is thought to be in a unique position – the company does not have to rely on a finite supply of reject materials for its Type II (urea), Type III (melamine), Type V (acrylic), Poly A (polyamide) and Poly C (polycarbonate) media. Within the same site as BIP's manufacturing plant, the Group operates one of the world's largest moulding materials factories and BIP Plastic Media is able to draw on this as necessary, guaranteeing a continuous feedstock supply chain.
