Abrasive blasting and surface preparation specialist, Vapormatt Ltd, which has its headquarters and main manufacturing plant in Guernsey, has expanded its UK mainland facility and introduced an enhanced range of customer services.

The company has recently moved into new premises in Taunton, not far from its previous UK mainland site, in the process substantially increasing floor area to accommodate additional sales and administrative offices, as well as a brand new customer demonstration facility.

Vapormatt also informs us that it has launched improved nation-wide customer support services, embracing spare parts, consumables, maintenance and machine upgrades. These services are aimed not only at Vapormatt customers, but also at users of other manufacturers' wet and dry blasting equipment. Their introduction coincides with the setting-up of a comprehensive, Web-based, fast-turnaround parts identification and ordering service.

A specific element of Vapormatt's machine upgrade service for wet blast machines is the company's "non-clogging pump" retro-fit package, specially developed to improve the performance of any wet blast machine and reduce operating costs. Machines of certain types can be prone to pump clogging after long periods of use, especially those utilising "Novaculite" wet blast media, leading to prolonged downtime, whilst pumps are cleared or changed. The non-clogging Vapormatt pump is said to effectively overcome this problem and has been designed to last for the lifetime of a machine.
