Galvanising and powder coating under one roof
Medway Galvanising Company reports that it can now provide customers with both galvanising and powder coating facilities. The company provides a 25 year guarantee for its duplex galvanised and powder coated products and has approval to apply Interpon and Syntha-Pulvin powders.
A recently introduced 24 h, three shift operation is said to ensure that Medway’s response to an enquiry is rapid and galvanising work can even be carried out on a while-you-wait basis for the most urgent jobs.
The company states that it galvanises to the latest European Standards and meets requirements laid down in BS ENISO 9002. It can galvanise anything from fasteners and small components up to steel members 12 m in length. In fact, Medway have galvanised a Ferrari, steel sculptures and a metal flower garden!
Medway Galvanising’s plant includes a main bath measuring 6.7 m long by 2.4 m deep and 1.37 m wide which enables single dipping to be carried out for most jobs, while a separate spin line bath measuring 3.66 m long by 1.22 m deep and 0.79 m wide suits small threaded components and other small parts.
The company’s powder coating plant has been designed to process both galvanised and black steel products and the company can powder coat any item up to 3.2 m by 2.4 m by 0.75 m in a full range of colours, on a long or short run basis.
