Thane leads MSCI's aluminum products division
Julie S. Thane, a former executive vice president of the National Association of Aluminum Distributors, has been appointed director of the Metals Service Center Institute's proposed aluminum products division.
"We are delighted that an individual of Julie's skill and experience is available to direct activities of this new division," says Bob Weidner, MSCI president. "This means that our aluminum distribution members will receive outstanding service from a seasoned and knowledgeable association executive."
Directors of NAAD have voted to merge that organization into MSCI contingent on an affirmative vote of the association's membership. When the proposed merger is completed, NAAD's leadership will continue as the leadership of MSCI's aluminum products division. Many service centers are already members of both trade groups.
