If you have an interest in corrosion in aqueous environments, you should consider joining a group that meets regularly in the UK to discuss this constantly developing topic – The Marine Corrosion Forum. The forum has evolved from The Marine Corrosion Club, which has been active since 1988. Members meet four times a year to listen to presentations on the latest developments in “wet” corrosion, which includes corrosion by potable, process and fresh waters as well as marine environments. Members also benefit from a regular search of new scientific papers and an online service which answers questions related to corrosion via the Web site. Representatives from many of the UK's foremost organisations in this field are members, which ensures a lively debate at meetings. Delegates include engineers, researchers, designers, material experts and end-users. The forum welcomes members and guest speakers from the UK and overseas.
