Airbus tops 2,500 order milestone
Airbus Industrie has reached the 2,500 order mark for its family of aircraft. This significant milestone has been achieved just 25 years and three days after the maiden flight of its very first aircraft. The latest order from SilkAir, the regional arm of Singapore Airlines, brings the overall total firm orders to 2,506 aircraft from 141 customers. During the same period 1,632 aircraft have been delivered, valued at $88.8 billion.
