Racal's CDNU to aid RAF Search and Rescue fleet

Racal Avionics' Control Display and Navigation Unit (CDNU) will aid the RAF Search and Rescue (SAR) Sea King Mk3 fleet following the award of a contract from the MoD for the multifunction navigation and flight management computer. Under the contract worth approximately £2 million, Racal will supply the systems and associated equipment for 19 aircraft. The CDNU with embedded P(Y) code GPS will include a range of SAR specific functions enabling RAF pilots to operate on missions as effectively and safely as possible. The contract also includes a five year Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) element.
