TI Group plc, the global, specialised engineering company, announces today that Sir Christopher Lewinton, currently Chairman and Chief Executive, will separate the roles with the appointment of William J. Laule as Chief Executive, Sir Christopher continuing as Chairman.
In order to ensure continuity in the direction of TI Group the Board has established a Chairman's Committee which will be chaired by Sir Christopher with Bill Laule, Chief Executive, and Martin Angle, Group Finance Director, as members. The Chairman's Committee will be responsible, on behalf of the Board, for maintaining the strategic direction of TI Group. As a consequence James Roe, Director of Strategic Development, will report to Mr Angle.
An Executive Board has also been established which will be chaired by Mr Laule and will be responsible for the overall management of the business. The membership will be the executive directors of the main Board together with the General Counsel.
