5th International Aerospace Corrosion Control Symposium

Dates have been announced for the 5th Biennial International Aerospace Corrosion Control Symposium. The event will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel, Miami, Florida, USA on 2-4 June 1998.

This very successful event is being held in the USA for the first time having previously been held in Europe and the Far East. Miami is a superb location for this specialist conference, and will provide delegates from all over the world with the very best in US hospitality.

The organisers of IACC'98 announce that this event has once again been given technical support and guidance from the world's major aviation authorities and industry including technical support from structures specialists at the Boeing Commercial Airplane Co. in Seattle.

Acknowledged experts from the aerospace industry will make presentations addressing the issues that affect structural maintenance in today's worldwide commercial fleets, together with issues and subjects that are pertinent to the harsh working environments that military and commercial operators are constantly subject to. Manufacturers, operators, and suppliers will all come together to discuss ways in which preventative maintenance and constant vigilance can help combat corrosion in airframes.

Over 500 delegates from more than 70 countries have attended previous symposia in this series thus demonstrating its truly international appeal.

IACC'98 will present a comprehensive overview of control, detection, and prevention methods used in the aerospace industry against corrosion. Also covered will be manufacturers and operators' views concerning the success to date of the ageing fleet programme and the effect that is having on the industry.
