The Noise Group of ESDU International have begun work on a new Data Item "Prediction of Noise Generated by Fans and Compressors in Turbojet and Turbofan Engines".
The Data Item will predict noise from fans and compressors in the free field in a lossless atmosphere.
The Item and associated computer program will be based on work published and recently updated by NASA.
