The recent delivery of the first GE F414 production engine for the Navy's Super Hornet aircraft caps a five-year support effort by the Ladish Co., Inc. (Nasdaq: LDSH) (www.ladishco.com). The effort, which began when Ladish assisted GE with the design and computer process modelling of the engine's forgings in December 1993, culminated today at the dedication ceremony in Lynn, Massachusetts, when the first engine containing seven highly engineered forgings from Ladish was delivered.
