In GB Patent 2328414 Stephanie Carol McGrath describes how a lifting bracket is attached to each of the skids of a helicopter for movement on the ground. In one embodiment the attachment means uses the shanks of existing attachment bolts in the skids. The bracket is attached in the style of a bayonet by first being moved so the bolts engage slots in the bracket and then moved perpendicular to the first movement to engage bolts in slots. A lifting force is applied by a lifting bar to a load bearing surface of the bracket. The load bearing surface also has a lip. In a second embodiment the bracket is attached to the skid by bolts passing through holes in the bracket and holes in the skid. The lip portion can move relative to the bracket to accommodate helicopter skids that are not parallel.
