PTC recently announced that it has received a five-year contract from Airbus, renewing its commitment to PTC solutions. The contract for $22 million of software and maintenance services includes PTC's Web-based collaboration software, Windchill, as well as PTC's entire suite of MDA solutions.

Airbus will use PTC's collaborative product commerce (CPC) solutions as part of the Airbus Concurrent Engineering (ACE) system on all existing aircraft programmes, as well as on the new A3XX "super jumbo" programme.

"Airbus will use our open Web-based CPC solutions for current and future programs, and we are especially proud of the impact that our industry-leading MDA solutions have had at Airbus over the years", says C. Richard Harrison, president and CEO of PTC. "As a company we have a strong commitment to technological innovation and we believe our innovation is key to our success and to the success of our customers in the aerospace industry".
