In GB Patent 2339745 Miniflame Limited describe an apparatus for helping a helicopter to land. It comprises a bag containing a packed helicopter landing pad. The packed helicopter landing pad can be unpacked on the ground to show a helicopter pilot where to land. The pad comprises a flexible strip of electroluminescent material which becomes illuminated consequent upon receiving an electrical current from a power source to enable the pilot to see the pad.
